Star Tours was definitely a high priority. We still haven’t gotten used to the new show and desperately miss old Captain Rex flying for the “first time,” every time.
And if this ride is entitled “Star Tours: The Adventures Continue,” why is it essentially a prequel to the original ride?
Although there are hundreds of different combinations to this new ride, we enjoyed hearing our favorite new Disney Princess say, “Help me, Star Tours, you’re my only hope.”
Visiting the ice planet of Hoth was another favorite moment.
After leaving Star Tours, we happened upon some Stormtroopers who were patrolling the area.
Our website engineer and reviewer Taylor managed to score a picture with them, posing with his camera.
We visited both Disneyland and California Adventure over our five day trip. And because we couldn’t help but check our Twitter feed, we even got cool swag.

Not content with being traditional tourists, in the best tradition of cosplay, we created our own “adventurous” outfits. Why doesn’t Disneyland sell pith helmets with mouse ears?
It was easy to spot our group in the middle of any crowd– which was wonderful and helped with keeping track of people, but we did make quite a spectacle.
We were asked many times where we got our safari hats, and I don’t think anyone would suspected that we bought the surplus pith helmets at a hat shop and fashioned mouse ears out of foam.
Like I said, the helmets got quite a bit of attention and we weren’t surprised by people coming up and asking us questions. However, there was one occasion that was quite bizarre.
Two girls, after coming up to us and asking in what we assume was a British accent where we got our hats, asked us to pose for a picture.
Not just any picture– a picture with Eric the E. Coli. I like those giant plush microbes as much as anyone, but it was still strange, especially when they refused to be in the picture.
We can only assume that Eric the E. Coli is a geeky equivalent of a traveling gnome. And if anyone sees a picture of us with the E. Coli pop up on some strange corner of the internet (or not so strange), let us know, will ya?
