If you only back one project on Kickstarter this year, may I suggest this one. LeVar Burton (Star Trek’s Geordi La Forge) is looking for help kickstarting Reading Rainbow’s app into classrooms and to the rest of the internet.
Essentially, this Kickstarter project is about supporting Reading Rainbow’s mission of encouraging kids to read. Burton recently created an iPad app, called Reading Rainbow, but he’s looking to put the concept of that app onto the internet so it’s more globally accessible. Additionally, he’s looking to bolster the content itself and add a component for educators to share with their students.
But, you don’t have to take my word for it.
