Halfway through Dewey’s 24-hour Readathon event and we’re still going strong.
1. What are you reading right now?
I’m just starting Lab Girl by Hope Jahren. I really enjoyed meeting her at an author event and I’m very excited for this book. Jason is reading Lock In by John Scalzi and Taylor is reading Waiting for the Machines to Fall Asleep a Swedish science fiction anthology edited by Peter Öberg.

2. How many books have you read so far?

Only one, but we’ve had a lot more fun interacting with people on twitter, hosting the great Operation: Quotation! mini-challenge and thinking and discussing books all day with friends.

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
Aside from Lab Girl, which I’ve already mentioned, I picked up a few Terry Pratchett Books that I’m going to get into. I read my first Discworld novel early this month.

4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
The readathon just happened to fall on the same day Taylor and I had our last long training run before we go to the Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland. So… the 14 mile run was a bit of an interuption, but the good news is is that being lazy and reading books sounds like exactly what we want to do now.

5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Did you know that the 24 hour readathon has a swag store? Taylor is eying the mug that emblazoned with the words “I read because punching people is frowned upon.”
