PKD Award Nominees are Ready to Fight it Out The 2013 PKD Smackdown begins soon

We won’t know the winner of the 2013 Philip K. Dick Award until Friday evening, but until then, we’ve decided to let the books duke it out in totally fictitious, but extremely fun battles to determine the winner.

We even had a referee book, until it lost its head and couldn’t continue.

This is a 7-book single elimination bracket and round one, the quarter-finals, begin today! To determine the line-up, we seeded the books based on a weighted average between the star ratings of GeekyLibrary, Amazon and Goodreads.

Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie is ranked #1 overall based on the weighted average and gets a bye until the semi-finals.
