This is GeekyLibrary’s third giveaway. This time we’re letting the winner pick which, of three, books they’d like. All the books available in this giveaway are used, but all three are signed by the author.

Non-fiction: Mary Roach’s Gulp

Mary Roach is the best-selling non-fiction author who wrote Stiff, Bonk and Packing for Mars. This is her newest book and was signed by her during her event at Powell’s last year.

Fantasy: Jo Walton’s Among Others

Jo Walton won the Hugo Award for Best Novel for her book Among Others and along with being an amazing writer, she’s a total science fiction and fantasy fan, as proved by her non-fiction What Makes This Book so Great. While she was on tour to promote her newest novel, My Real Children, we were able to meet her during her Portland stop.

Science Fiction: Toh EnJoe’s Self Reference ENGINE

A Japanese writer, Toh EnJoe’s mind-boggling bookSelf-Reference ENGINE was translated to english and then nominated for the Philip K. Dick Award for Distinguished Science Fiction. During the award ceremony at Norwescon, he and the translator read an excerpt from the book so the audience could hear it in both japanese and english. Later that night, the author was honored with a Special Citation.
